Women Work – leading the way to a brighter future
Women Work aims to lead the way to a brighter future for women from all communities; encouraging them to believe in themselves, support each other, dare to dream big and become a positive role model to the next generation of young women.
Our Journey so Far
Women Work was founded by Ania Jeffries and began as an idea to bring a small group of local women together within a workshop environment to showcase their businesses and create opportunities for collaboration. Due to a high public interest and demand, this small idea quickly snowballed into a very large successful event that welcomed over 1300 visitors across the day and evening giving a stage to 51 speakers – opening up the opportunity to showcase their businesses and share their life’s experiences across 70 workshops.
Women Work believes that innovation is key to creating a successful future for everyone. Blending the feedback from the women involved with the original event and continued research there have been many changes implemented for the next event. There will be: more time for our speakers to share their knowledge and experiences, more space for exhibitors, a greater emphasis on building successful businesses, and a greater opportunity to network and create new connections.
What Can Be Expected
There will be talks throughout the day, exhibitors to provide you with more information, and areas to meet old and new friends.
Our chosen charity for the event is BEAT. We will be making a donation for every lunch that is purchased on the day.
Our Main Themes for the Day
Entrepreneurship: Building your own business
Women in the Workplace: Preparing yourself
Overcoming Challenges: Creating a better future
Health and Wellbeing: Mental health awareness
Magic happens when women come together. We look forward to seeing you on the day.
By creating healthier minds we are creating healthier communities, by opening conversations we are opening doors to collaborations within the community.
Women Work Events bring together more than just speakers and their audience by creating an event that actively encourages collaboration – we bring together charities and companies who would not ordinarily be thinking of working together or promoting each other to build a stronger community for the next generation.
Business First TV was set up exclusively for small businesses to help them with their marketing. Having an exclusive video allows your business to stand out from everyone else in your field and will give people a clear understanding of what your company is all about.
